KEY PERSONNEL

Our Executive Chairman, Dato Sri John Lau has previously served as the chairman of Kian Tai Sdn Bhd, a housing developer based in Sibu, Sarawak. He comes from a family in Sibu that has a long history in real estate investment and development. He is also the founder of Arkitek KDI Sdn Bhd (“AKDI”) and past Persatuan Arkitek Malaysia (Sarawak chapter) chairman. AKDI has offices in Sibu, Kuching, Kuala Lumpur and Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates. AKDI’s portfolio includes landmarks such as the RM200 million Borneo Convention Centre Kuching, Hilton and Pullman hotels in Kuching, Wisma Affin and Royale Chulan hotel in Kuala Lumpur, in addition to high rise mixed-use developments in the UAE. Peter Lau holds Bachelor degrees in Commerce (Finance) and Law (Honours) from the University of Melbourne, Australia. He has previously worked in corporate finance and was also a credit analyst with leading Malaysian credit rating agency RAM Ratings Services Berhad. He oversees the finance, tax, legal and general corporate matters for the Group.

Sam Lau holds Bachelor degrees in Planning & Design and Architecture (Honours) from the University of Melbourne, Australia. He has prior work experience at leading Australian and Singaporean architectural firms before returning to Malaysia. He is the lead project manager of the Group’s ongoing projects.

Wong Ching Sen holds Bachelor Degree in Quantity Surveying (Honours) from the Nottingham Trent University, England and Master of Business Administration in Project Management from the University of Southern Queensland, Australia. He has more than 20 years of working experience in property development companies. He joins Travilion Group as Chief Operating Officer.
